ABOUT US |
Wolf Packs was founded on December 12, 2011. This site quickly grew, but as this was Roxy's first website, it became somewhat unkept. With 3000 messages and over a 100 users, Roxy decided it was time for a new home for Wolf Packs: Winter Clarity. We welcome you to our website and may Luna bless your stay!

| Welcome... | Welcome to Wolf Packs Version Two- Winter Clarity! Roxy here, as always. For those of you who don't know what Wolf Packs is, in 2011, I created a wolf roleplay with absolutely no clue how to go about it, but miraculously, it gained members. It had a good run, but after about a year, it began to wilt and I realized it would need a more organized home to survive. Eventually, I created this website, in hopes that it could live up to our 100 members and 3000 posts.

Once upon a time, the lights danced in beautiful arrays of color, bending and shifting, iridescent and contrasting against the black, empty, moonless and starless sky. And these lights, they brushed gently against the snow below, a whole new spectrum of light created- And from this one wolf arose- Luna, with eyes crystal blue and a pelt as pure as the snow beneath her paws. She looked at the sky, the dancing lights, and slowly, a disc began to burn a silver-white light hue, an orb. Luna lifted her snout- And from her maw, the most beautiful of noises sprang forth, crying out to the auroras and what she decided to name the moon. And the lights continued, and Luna, who was only barely more than a pup, was soon joined. First by tens, then by hundreds. They ran away together, in separate groups, beginning to form groups, often where the number one rule was survival of the fittest. Luna too, ran away, growing quickly into a beautiful, strong young Alphess of a pack by the name of The Pack of Everlasting Song, or Song Pack. The pack was in good shape, and had recently gained a second generation. Then, shadows began to cast them all in darkness. Ah, yes, Darkness, oh how it contrasted against their good, smart ways. Abaddon, his name was, led the Pack of Dire Darkness, or Dark Pack. He reigned in the southwest, feared, often hated, but loyally followed, even if only half liked him. Of course, he didn't rule alone-- His brother Dolphus was his general, strategist, warden and... Brother. Soon, a war had began. Claws like stone swatted enemies down like flies, teeth of iron were locked in an awful showdown. It was an ugly tug-of-war-- To see who was most powerful. Then one sun, Luna accompanied the others on a spy mission, centered around the wolves of power. She studied Dolphus, the beautiful brute with a pelt of ebony, who wouldn't stand out in any way compared to the others, except he was in power, and a bit stronger. Unless you were the called the Mother of All Wolves. She saw a flicker in him, just a flicker, a light as pure as Luna's Moon. So the Alphess dismissed her comrades, and approached the wolf whenever he was alone. He sprang at her, ready to kill his ultimate enemy. However Luna began to talk to the snarling wolf, and sure enough, Dolphus' red eyes flickered a color as blue as her own. She went home, but the two continued meeting each other, and soon a love blossomed, and the Black Wolf's eyes shone yellow, a permanent balance. Dolphus left DarkPack, through attack after attack by his former friends. But the brute knew where he stood- Next to Luna. The war raged on, for moon after moon, until one day, Abaddon himself challenged Luna- The battle to end all the others. They locked themselves in battle, that lasted for a quarter of the day. Both were bloodied, but finally, Abaddon snarled from under Luna. "You have plagued my people with death. With orphans. Weakness. Pain. Suffering. A darkness it seemed no light could overcome. You reigned in the terror of no sun, where the only light was by the dim moon. Never again, Abaddon. Never again. And if you return, well, you can bet on the wolf's existence that I will be back again to protect all." Abaddon growled, spitting, "Oh no, Luna. You are wrong. I will be back again, and, well, you can bet on your puny pack that I will crush all that ever mattered to you." The black fiend exhaled his final breath. Almost. Luna was triumphant. And soon, her pack had healed, and Luna was expectant with Dolphus' pups. And seasons later, her children began to form new packs: Ultimately creating the Great Packs allegiance. Luna and Dolphus, however, were growing old and weary. One night, they gathered their pack, their first and second litters, and their first set of grandchildren around them. "The time has come, my friends. Dolphus and I grow old, our time as leader waned as my moon. We must lead another pack, the pack of those who have faded with the setting sun. Our time on this Earth has come to an end, my children. We must go, and in the skies, we will brighten and protect you as we cannot now. Thank you, my children. Bless you." Dolphus looked at his mate, with a smile, and said, "Love changed this heart. Love." The mates lifted their heads to the sky, along with their souls, and sang to the moon, sang to the auroras that had brought them there. Slowly the wolves faded, as their souls ascended. Amazed, the wolves watched as slowly the sky was lit by specks and swirls of beautiful light. They made images in the air, wolves clashing and birds flying and the wolves' history, all making one face. "Dolphus! The stars- They make a face just like Dolphus!" A wolf shouted. And in the craters of the moon, they swore they saw Luna's face. "It's Luna! You see? It's her head, she's still watching us." The wolves watched in wonder. "Dolphus the Night! Luna the Moon!" The cried, sending their howls of thanks, and for many, many generations, all of the packs prospered, Dark Pack and the eventually formed Allegiance keeping their distance for the most part. Now Dark Pack is threatening again, Abaddon's spirit returned in the soul of Azrael- The Alpha of Dark Pack. Luna, too, has returned in Roxy- The heir of Song Pack. A new war is approaching, and every wolf will have to learn- Is contrast their Savior or Destroyer?

Formally known as the Pack of Scorching Flame, they're noted for their rivalry with Rain Pack due to their comparable warriors' strength. Moderator: Moderators

While they do seem to receive more rain than other packs, their name comes from the constant spray of the rushing river they live next to, which has branches and tributaries in every pack in the Allegiance. Aspiring warriors often travel here to train in the powerful currents. Moderator: Moderators

The Pack of Shining Light resides in a camp carved out by glaciers, as Song Pack does, but in their case glacial silt mixed with the minerals creating crystals in a gorgeous array of colors, which the pack uses for breathtaking murals and other forms of art. This pack also beads and feathers the famous Alpha Headdresses. They worship Luna and her lighter, more maternal aspects, turning much less attention to Dolphus. In times of peace, they have no fighters, but as war presses closer, mindsets about peace are changing… And may cause a civil clash itself. Moderator: Moderators
| 0 | 0 | | | The Pack of The Lost was once known as the Pack of Brambles Thick, and is a no-go zone for all packs. The now empty land was set aside by Luna for loners, former Dark Pack members and wolves from other packs, strongly believing they all deserved a home in the Allegiance. While small, the pack learned an extremely disciplined form of fighting that seemed like art to many, but the small group was destroyed by a massive army sent by Dark Pack. There were no survivors, and no pack has reclaimed the territory since. Moderator: Moderators
| 0 | 0 | | | | | With an extended name of the Pack of Dire Darkness, the characteristically dark-colored wolves of this pack do not consider themselves to be inherently evil, just self-reliant. These wolves hold self-preservation above all else, believing if one cannot pull its weight, it's wasting space. Dwelling in an abandoned mine, these wolves kill with absolute lack of mercy and most feel no regret of any kind. However, it is illegal to kill another pack mate- Unless given permission by the Alpha and/or challenging one to a duel, and the pack hierarchy is rigidly instated. The weak die, the strong strive, as simply as that. Moderator: Moderators
| 0 | 0 | | | A "pack" full of rogues and anarchists, bound together on the notion all packs must fall, and that every wolf must carry their own weight. The classic hierarchy is not in place, instead replaced with an oligarchy disguised as democracy. The group's borders, which they are named for, are littered with skulls and other bones of those unlucky enough to cross them. Moderator: Moderators
